Jenna Justman

I was born in 1995 in San Jose, California, and moved across the country twice before age ten. Early childhood days were spent in rural Virginia wearing pooh bear overalls, flushing my hairbrush down the toilet, climbing trees, exploring the forest, and home-schooling with my two brothers and two sisters. My family settled in northern Nevada right after I turned nine and that’s when I discovered Halloween for the first time, made some friends who were “school kids,” and invested time in hobbies like gymnastics and ballet.

When I turned eighteen I moved away to attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California where I double majored in Communication Studies and English, Writing. That experience significantly defined and stretched my faith. I then had the privilege of living and studying abroad my junior year at The American University of Paris and really came home to my identity and personality in France. These formative years ignited passions for storytelling, exploration, travel, and the study of human behavior.

I graduated a semester early in December of 2016 and moved home to Carson City, Nevada. Shortly after that, I met and fell in love with my husband Paul. We met at a coffee shop and bonded over similar belief systems, a dangerous sushi obsession, and big visions for the future. We dated for a year, got engaged on a beach in Hawaii, and were married in the Sierra Nevada mountains on Sunday, October 21, 2018. We quickly wrote out our travel goals as newlyweds and decided to visit all seven wonders of the world together (currently on #4!).

After I turned twenty-six, we decided to grow our family together and on Sunday, October 17, 2022 our baby boy Henri Leo was born. He came into the world at 5:02am after 27 hours of natural labor at home… it was by far the hardest and most rewarding thing I’ve ever done! We currently live in a townhouse in Carson City, Nevada with Henri and our mini goldendoodle, Kevin.
